We're officially an Ākina Impact Supplier!

In 2023, Aye Studios became an official Ākina Impact Supplier. The Ākina Impact Certification is a national recognition that signifies an organisation's dedication to creating positive social and environmental impact. 

To become an Ākina Impact Supplier, a business must meet specific criteria related to its mission, operations, and impact metrics. The certification process involves a comprehensive assessment of the business's social and environmental practices, ensuring alignment with Ākina's mission to foster a more sustainable and equitable future.

As explained by Ākina;

A growing number of buying organisations want to use their spending power for good - but they don’t know what’s real impact, or what’s impact-washing. Social procurement is a term used when a buying organisation wants to create additional positive social or environmental outcomes when buying their goods and services. It’s a growing movement and SMEs and supplying organisations are responding by becoming purpose-led.

The problem is - buying organisations don’t have the experience to know how to assess real positive impact and if it’s making the difference they want to see. A lot of purpose led businesses are also SME’s and are just beginning their procurement journey. That’s where the Ākina Impact Supplier certification comes in.

Our impact area is in enabling others (our clients) to create impact. In other words, we partner with organisations who are doing the mahi to create positive change, and help their organisations grow and thrive.
